Dear me, I suppose we should begin with the one everyone says, but the one truth that if we allowed it to SINK deep, could transform. God so loved.
14 Just as Moses lifted up the [bronze] serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross], 15 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life [after physical death, and will actually live forever].16 “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] [a]only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3 AMP
Begins
Love’s plan must have the lifting of Son of Man on the cross. The sacrifice. The understanding of the weight of our sin…
Believe in Him have eternal life.
And then, we have the most well-known verses.
“For God so loved and dearly prized the world, that He even gave His One and only begotten Son…”
Loved
Notice God’s love moved, not on the basis on anything we did, except believe.
Love moved first. So, to you, to me feeling like the waves won’t stop, let’s begin with love. I believe and trust in Him.
Romans 5
Romans 5 continues this theme. Read this truth and let it sink deep today.
5 Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. 6 While we were still helpless [powerless to provide for our salvation], at the right time Christ died [as a substitute] for the ungodly. 7 Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to willingly give his life even for an upright man, though perhaps for a good man [one who is noble and selfless and worthy] someone might even dare to die. 8 But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5 AMP
We have the Holy Spirit

- Spirit has been given to us.
- We don’t provide our salvation.
- Christ was our substitute.
- He didn’t die for the righteous, he died for all.
- Our sacrifices for one another can never measure to His.
- God’s love is clearly shown and proven by this sacrifice.
- This sacrifice was costly and I don’t ponder it.
- God’s love transforms.
Friend, me, you are dearly prized. Here’s an old post of mine on Loving God.
